Ananya Deshmukh is a high school student at the Mahindra International School in Pune, where she engages with a rigorous IB-prescribed curriculum. Fascinated by the intricate ways in which gender dynamics impinge on economic systems and opportunities, Ananya aims to explore gender-sensitive approaches to economic frameworks and models of social entrepreneurship to imagine inclusive growth for women.
Ananya is also an active member of the MUN club of her school, owing to which she has developed sharp analytical skills to dissect socioeconomic phenomena unfolding in our world. Having worked as a peer tutor in her own school, by way of helping ESL students with their English skills, Ananya was motivated to extend the same opportunity to girls like her who shimmer with potential, but who do not have access to the same resources. It is this dedicated resolve that led her to found The Friend Circle and build a supportive community that empowers young girls to reach their full potential.
